Free Retail Store Locator for DTV Converter Box Coupons

Mesa, Arizona – HDTV TUNERS NOW .COM is proud to announce the release of their new DTV converter coupon participating retailer locating service on the website, DTV Converter Coupon Program participating retailer locator . This new search tool allows consumers to search for a nearby retailer from over 18,000 US retailers offering coupon-eligible DTV converter boxes (CECB) for sale at their store locations.

Visitors to hdtvtunersnow.com can search by city and state or zip code to find retailers that are participating in NTIA’s TV Converter Box Coupon Program. Consumers can use their coupons at listed store locations to purchase coupon-eligible DTV converter boxes.

The DTV Converter Box Coupon Program was created by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to assist households that want to keep using their analog TV sets after February 17, 2009. Between Jan. 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009, all U.S. households will be eligible to request up to two coupons worth $40 each. These coupons can be used toward the purchase of digital-to-analog converter boxes. The coupons expire within 90 days of the date they are mailed and can only be used at program participating retailers.

After February 17, 2009 full-power TV stations will stop broadcasting on their current analog channels. In order to continue watching over-the-air broadcasts, viewers will have to buy an HDTV converter to use their current analog TV, or replace their existing analog TV. A TV connected to cable, satellite or other pay TV service does not require a TV converter box from this program, unless you wish to receive free Over-the-Air television programs.
